Cheese Ball

Cheese Ball

This is my favorite cheese ball for serving during the holidays and gift giving. You can form it into balls or buy inexpensive containers and put it in those for gifting. Quick and easy to make and everyone always loves it.

2- 8 ounce packages of cream cheese (regular, low fat or no fat)
1 cup of cottage cheese (any kind)
1 package of Good Seasons Italian dressing mix (regular or Zesty)
2 tablespoons sunflower seed nuts
2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts (I use pecans)
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 cup pressed beef (that stuff in the packages) chopped fine.

Mix it all together. Chill. Shape into 2-3 balls. Roll in a mix of 2 tablespoons chopped pecans, 2 tablespoons sunflower seed nuts and 2 tablespoons dried parsley ...these are extra not what is in the cheese ball. Freezable.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Sounds yummy! My SIL always makes a cheese ball for the Christmas gift night. I tried it once, didn't turn out so good, lol. Maybe because it was for a large group, I made two, put them side by side and looked sorta obscene. :?
