4 Ingredient Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

makes 16-20

Ingredients

2 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 1/2 cups quick oats
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup chocolate chips (or mix-ins of choice), (I use dark chocolate chips)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350F.
Combine bananas, oats, and peanut butter in a bowl and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop bite-sized spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet (not necessary, as I forgot and had no clean up problem) and bake for 12-15 minutes.

(I flatten them or found they don't cook through.)

thought I posted this before, but don't find it, so here it is again.

That sounds really easy and delicious!

How much do you flatten them? Do they get crispy and brown on top?

I love recipes with 4 ingredients or less!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

First time I made them, I didn't flatten them and they were too soft and not cooked enough for me. I pretty much made them flat the 2nd time and they got a little crunchy, which I liked. Btw, they were so chocolatey that I even use a little less chocolate, and I wanted more peanut butter flavor so increased that. That required a few more minutes cooking time. A friend didn't have chocolate on hand and made them with raisins once and something else another time, and likes the recipe also.

They aren't low calorie, but are healthier for me.

Mitch what program did you use to calculate? We like fat secret but I don't think I can copy a panel like that.

I use Sparks People Recipe Calculator. I'd post the link but I'm not at home and doing stuff like that on iPad makes me nuts. I'll try to remember when I get home. Or just google it.

I use dark choc chips and natural, organic peanut butter. Couldn't actually my exact ingredients, but redid the nutritional info as close as I could and got close to Mitch's figures, but brought the sugars down, too! (as I'm now taking these when I hike instead of the stuff full of garbage when I purchase "healthy snacks") and got the following:

Think I will try this...I would have thought
the fiber would have been higher...that is
one of the things I am trying to increase...

One cookie is pretty small. Probably why lower fiber. And probably why I almost always eat two.

If they are really small, I may have to eat four to get enough fiber!

Over the course of the day, that's just perfect. :) Or you and Donna could just make bigger cookies.
