Great Boondocking Article for Beginners

Great Boondocking Article for Beginners

Postby longdog2 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 8:34 pm

Just ran into this great boondocking article. It is geared to those who don't know a lot about it and gives some good basic, easy to understand information. You don't need a ton of special equipment to boondock occasionally. Just use what you have in the best way.

That was interesting, altho some of it went over my head since I haven't owned an RV yet. What is a phantom load?

A phantom load is when something is turned off but is still using power for things like a microwave that uses power for its clock.

How is it exactly that someone on this board always posts exactly the info I need before I ask for it? Spooky. I think you all have magic powers. I'll read the article right now.

I picked up some good tips I can use even when not boondocking. I'll save lots more water after reading this article. The parts that were over my head will come in handy later, when I know more. Thanks!
